Prof. Rivera is a seasoned public administrator having managed city, county, state and national offices as well as working internationally as a consultant/project manager in Ecuador, Colombia, Paraguay & Uganda. He has taught Sociology at UCONN (Storrs), Northeastern University (Boston), Greater Hartford Community College (CT), and at Palm Beach and Indian River State Colleges for the past two years.
He continues to work internationally and brings some of his experiences and anecdotes to the classroom to broaden the "sociological imagination" of his students.
