Introduction to International Relations (INR2002)
Course Description
This is an online course designed to provide students with basic understanding of International Relations through the study of theoretical approaches, analytical models, and discussion of both historic and current world issues.
The study of International Relations is crucial as our world changes and trends become more interconnected, unpredictable, and complex. This course will give students make the connections between the problems that have plagued the world for centuries and the revolutionary developments we see today.
Course Learning Outcomes
Students will be able to analyze, discuss, and apply habits of a successful online student.
Describe a wide range of global, social and cultural points of view and apply various perspectives to analyze human behavior.
Demonstrate an awareness about a wide range of substantive issues in international politics and foreign policy.
Demonstrate mastery of the main theoretical and analytical approaches to the study of International Relations.
Interpret specific historical and contemporary problems using appropriate theoretical arguments and methods of analysis.
Identify and analyze interactions between international actors.
Demonstrate accurate knowledge about International Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations, and International Law.
