Professional and Entrepreneurial Background:
- Mr. Bertman served in the Army earning a Combat Infantryman Badge. He has variously worked for Israel Aircraft Industries sales and marketing, Consolidated Rail Corporation as Director, Capital Planning and the MITRE Corporation in telecommunications consulting.
- His subsequent 35 years as a telecommunications entrepreneur includes founding C4 Media Cable, then one of the 75 largest US cable companies. Following the sale of C4 Media, Mr. Bertman founded Vision Dominicana in the Dominican Republic which was sold to a local businessman. Mr. Bertman also founded Caribbean Cable Communications which provided telecom services in Anguilla, Nevis and Montserrat. Mr. Bertman sold the company in November 2013 following 25 years of operation.
