Patrick Morris is an Adjunct Professor of Economics at Keiser University Port St. Lucie. In addition to teaching at Keiser, he is also an Adjunct Professor of Economics in the Department of Social Sciences at Indian River State College.
Mr. Morris received a Master of Art Degree in Economics from the University of Detroit, Mercy and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Economics and Accounting from Nova South Eastern University. Mr. Morris has various certifications in Hotel Operations and Management, Food & Beverage Management, and Supply Chain Management Principles.
Prior to joining Indian River State College and Keiser University, Mr. Morris spent 12 years founding and managing various businesses in hospitality and retail industries. He was President of Cleaning Resources, Corp., a facilities maintenance company in Broward County, Florida. Under his leadership, Mr. Morris manage the maintenance of approximately 3 million square feet of facilities for Broward County Government. Mr. Morris is the President of BackRiver Capital, Corp., a company that provides investment to hospitality support services through detailed engagement and strategic management to unlock hidden value.
Mr. Morris is interested in the concept of “System of Profound Knowledge” from Dr. W. Edwards Deming. He transform his concepts in teaching in order to understand diversified classroom environment, identify with students diversified learning background, and engage students in activity learning. He believes this concept can provide effective teaching and learning strategies that encourage student participation and learning.
Mr. Morris is serving on the Community Appearance Board (CAB) for the City of Deerfield Beach, Florida.
