Dr. Larisa Ray was born and raised in Russia. She received a Master’s Degree in Psychology, and Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Commerce from N. I. Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod, (UNN). She then received her Doctorate in Economics from The Academy of Management (TISBI), Kazan, Russia. Her dissertation was published in 2010 and titled, Development and Implementation of Crisis Management in Regional Economies. She also has 5 years teaching experience as an assistant professor, in the Finance Department of N. I. Lobachevsky State University. Her areas of interest are; problems and the development of modern economic systems, development and implementation of crisis management, international trade, and strategic management. She also has several other articles that have been published in a number of Russian economic journals. Dr. Ray is a member of the American Economic Association and the Florida Association of Colleges. She also was awarded a membership in the National Adult Education Honor Society.
Dr. Ray joined the IRSC faculty in 2013 and has taught Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. Currently she lives in Sebastien, FL. In her free time she enjoys her cats, gardening, reading, and fitness. Dr. Larisa Ray joined the faculty as a full-time temporary in 2017 and as a full-time permanent in 2021.
