Dr. Russell is a graduate of the Edison Community College, the University of Florida, Boston College and The Florida State University. She earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology and School Psychology. Dr. Russell began her professional career as a staff member at a Crisis Center where she ran the program that trained volunteers in working with people in crisis. During graduate school she provided individual and group therapy at Wheaton College and The Florida State University. After graduate school, Dr. Russell taught at the undergraduate and graduate level at The Florida State University and Tallahassee Community College as well as provided psychotherapy in the community. She currently teaches psychology at IRSC.
