Prof. Davis is the 2018-2020 recipient of the Marilyn C. Link Endowed Teaching Chair in Financial Management. She created the IRSC Center for Financial Literacy and combined the expertise of bankers and financial advisors from the community and IRSC faculty in a series of lectures attended by a total of 1,100 students and community members.
Since 2009, Prof. Davis has travelled with about 250 students to Japan, Europe and China under the Economics and Mathematics Study Abroad program.
Before joining IRSC in 2004, Prof. Davis worked as an Investment Manager – venture capitalist for a government subsidiary in Singapore. She also worked in Investment Banking, Account Management and Corporate Planning in a bank in the Philippines and an Insurance company in the US.
Prof. Davis holds an M.S. in Economics degree from De La Salle University in the Philippines. She completed a Doctorate degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She joined the faculty of IRSC as an Instructor in 2004, was promoted to the rank of Assistant Professor in 2007, and to the rank of Full Professor in 2016.
